Stephanie Davis has suffered a miscarriage following the stress of her court ordeal with ex Jeremy McConnell – something she confirmed in an emotional post on Instagram, on Wednesday night.
The former Hollyoaks star described herself as heartbroken in a message posted to the APP, beside a graphic which read: “I’ll see you in my dreams tonight/I’ll kiss your cheek and hold you tight/I have no tears left to cry/You’ve flown away my butterfly.”
It followed closely on from reports the former soap actress, 24, lost her baby two weeks ago, with friends saying it was down to the knowledge she would have to relive the abuse that Jeremy , 28, is said to have subjected her to in court .
Stephanie’s tragic loss came a week before she sparked extreme concern in her hometown of Liverpool, when she was spotted drinking barefoot in a city bar.
A close friend told The Sun Online: “Stephanie suffered a miscarriage two weekends ago due to stress. Steph is devastated that she has lost her baby. Doctors have said it is down to the pressure and stress she has been under lately.”
Mirror Online have contacted a represented of Stephanie ,while a spokesman for Jeremy declined to comment when approached.
The former Hollyaoks and Celebrity Big Brother star’s friends have claimed the stress and anxiety of the past few weeks – which have seen the former couple facing off in court – directly affected Steph and he unborn baby.
The insider explained: “With her upcoming court case getting closer and closer, the strain and fear of the situation Jeremy has put her into, as well as the pressure of coming out of what was an abusive and toxic relationship with him means due to the stress she has sadly lost her baby.
“When she walked into court she put on a brave face and kept tears away during the case despite huge anxiety on her part. Jeremy stood to face her, not being able to look her in the eye, he had no idea the secret she was harbouring.”
Shortly after the news broke Stephanie took to social media to confirm her tragic and sad news, writing in a post: “Too loose a child is something I hope no one EVER goes through. The grief and pain is UNBELIEVABLE . Words CANNOT describe. My heart is BROKEN [sic].”
She went on to claim: “I lost my baby due to the stress Jeremy put me under, history repeating its self after carrying caben alone for 9 months while he goes out with women and partying and posting pictures on purpose when I was in hospital [sic].”
The reality star added: “How evil someone can be to the mother of their child.”
In the lengthy caption she went on to claim that Jeremy had been treating her inhumanly, writing: “[He’s] Treating me like I’m not even human I have No words! Evil.”
In the emotional and explosive message, which was posted alongside the heartbreaking graphic, she told her fans and followers that she wanted time to grieve for her unborn baby
“I would like to Grieve for my child, find strength and move on,” Stephanie wrote. “I don’t know HOW I’m standing, but I am. And what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger [sic]!”
It comes mere days after Jeremy was found guilty of assaulting his on-off girlfriend after a day of shocking evidence in court, having lied about being innocent since he was arrested in March.
The Irish model, who met Stephanie in the Celebrity Big Brother house in January 2016, was found by a judge at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court to have beaten the mother of his child at her home in Merseyside on March 9.
He has been warned that he could face jail and has been granted conditional bail. His sentencing will take place on Friday.
In a statement, Stephanie and her family were said to be “delighted” by the outcome and they were “pleased that justice has been done”.
